June Allyson
Hello Lynn and everyone. I would just like to say farewell to the lovely June Allyson, who has passed away after a few year's of poor health, at the age of 88. I have been watching the "That's Entertainment" DVD, which contain's clip's of June Allyson in the movies "Word's and Music" and "Good News". I think my favourite role of June Allyson's was in "The Glenn Miller Story" co-starring with James Stewart. June Allyson was one of MGM's biggest star's in the 1940's and 50's. She had a great all round talent and will be sadly missed by all her fan's the world over. ROBERT M. |

My FAVORITE, without a doubt, of June Allyson's was "Little Women." She was born to play Jo and, I'm sorry to Katherine Hepburn fans (I'm one too), but between the two she was the better in it, by far. Katherine was good mind you but Jo gave the role a warmth and realness that Katherine didn't. |

Ooops! I meant JUNE gave the better performance (I initially said "JO") See, she was so good I confused her with the character!
