looking for movies
Looking for a move? don't know actress or title of movie. It is about a nun who work in germany she was sent to africa were she wanted to work and help the needy but was sent to help the affluent people. feel in love with doctor but couldn't do anything about it. later she quit the nunery because she felt she could do more outside. I'm also looking for another movie don't know title of actress. she played as a nurse. she had an unusual way to work in the polio field. she believed in exercising the muscles of the kids legs to stimulate the muscles into working. it worked for all her patitients but the doctors disagreed and kept them in contraptions. the doctors didn't like her because she was only a nurse. she later became an important part of helping the disease. |

The other movie you describe sounds like "Sister Kenny" (approx. 1946) with Rosalyn Russell. I might be misspelling her name here -- she starred opposite Cary Grant in "His Girl Friday" (1940). I'm sure the Internet Movie Database ( www.IMDb.com ) could furnish enough details, to see if that's the film you are thinking about. David |
