Re: help with a movie title

Linda: I think the film you are talking about is Brief Encounter, made into a film from the great Noel Coward play of the same name. It was made in England in the late 1940's. Here's a link to find out more about it: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0037558/.

Happy New Year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone on the Classic Movie Favourites forum

As I was reading the first line from Linda Rodriguez post, Brief Encounter came straight into my mind also. A classic British film from 1945 starring Celia Johnson and Trevor Howard

Re: help with a movie title

I have been trying to remember the title of a movie. It is a comedy. Two men are ghosts that are attached to a house in the country - they cannot leave the property. They have on tri corner hats, and hang out in a tree next to the well where they died. A girl omes to the house with a group of people who are trying to take advantage of her. The ghosts try to help her. I think at the end she dies because I remember the closing scene is all three of them in the tree by the well. Sorry so vauge, I used to think the title was Connecticut Yankees....... Thanks
