need help with movie title - war comedy
It is a comedy, maybe filmed in the 40s or 50s that takes place during WWII. Two men are in the back of an airplane with a jeep. They are both bumbling idiots. One is sort of a Lou Costello type, he's supposed to be the navigator (the pilots keep radioing him for instructions) and the other guy is a Phil Silvers type, he's a major. They end up sitting in the jeep, and somehow the jeep falls out of the plane, and is hanging from the plane by ropes. They see a Japanese naval fleet below them going round in cirlces and crazy patterns. As the plane descends to land, there is cloud cover and all that the people on the ground can see is what seems to be a flying jeep. |
