My Man Godfrey DVD

I was browsing Amazon.com, and there were so many different DVD versions of My Man Godfrey available! One is $36, which is astonishing, and then there was a $10 one in b&w and colour, etc. Is one of the cheaper ones just as good as the Criterion Collection one??

Not even close. Save your money until you can get the Criterion version. The extras enough are worth the price of admission. And the transfer is first rate.

Thanks :-) I wonder why a popular old film like that is so expensive, while some other great ones, like Roman Holiday, are so cheap!

The Criterion Dvd by their standards was a little dissapointing some sections where over bright, its hard to believe that one of the most beloved of American movies has fell into this state
