Island girl movie where she doesn't get married and her white husband might take another wife
I saw a movie once when I was a child (maybe 5 years old). It involved a white man going to an Island probably somewhere in the Pacific, and he marries one of the native girls. She looked Hawaiian with beautiful tan skin. Anyhow, she didn't get pregnant, so the white man is suggested to marry an additional native girl. I don't think he does, but there is a lot of drama and emotions between the first wife and the man. I do not remember if it was in black or white, or in color. Probably color. I thought it was a musical but I could be wrong. 1950's or 1960's? I've been looking for this movie in video stores for 20 years, and it haunts me! Anyone have some ideas? |
