Song of Inyangbe.

Today i pitched
My tent under the tree
Many legs came to find
out about my dream
Some came under the cover
of the dark to put me under
Brought ripe fruits to appease me
Bought hot bread to entice me
In my darkness i communicate
With people who understand
Sing and dance to music
Only the wise can hear
Weaving butterfly hands
I feel their eyes
Pitiful eyes
Heavy hearts
I smile with the breeze
Voices whisper their secrets
The tin pot boil with my egrets
My song stretches far
Permeating the barrier
That sorrounds my life
The hoofbeats of horse riders
excite me
I hear them in a distance
They have come to carry
My wicked husband
White sheets turn red
with the blood of adultery
the passion of the unfaithful
To never gaze upon the face
i love so dear
His face twisted with the magic
time and time again
This time somebody has taken my place
ha,i hear the hoof beats
draw near with each breath
i draw
What peace this gentle
flies have brought to my bruised
ankle.
ha ha,the music of the spirits
Many eyes and legs think
i am mad
but i will show them
I will show my unfaithful
man
I will pull them down
mmmmm,the music begins again
ha ha ha ha..
