Douglas Wulf (please see the numerous posts fairly far down the present collection) has done a good deal of research via the Internet regarding this subject, as well as the realm of Chan films that were actually filmed in China by Chinese film companies featuring all-Chinese casts. Although he has not turned up any clues relating to "lost" films from the Chan series proper in the land of Mr. Chan's ancestors, he has found a good number of "unauthorized" Chinese-made Charlie Chan movies.
