Scott Strumello just published a terrific book review of "Invisible Frontiers" that illustrates quite well what many of us have known for years. The "insulin crisis" preceding, as it did, the "diabetes crisis" was predicated not on scientific advancement but on sheer greed. Maybe some of you who have encountered blank stares from your healthcare providers when you sought alternative insulins may at least be able to "educate" these highly educated professionals. Even influencing a few to look at the science might shift perspectives enough to allow for needed dialog and further investigation.
