Horses with ASH breeding

Firstly, it's great to have a Branch Website. I hope this forum gets lots of use.

During the last 2 or 3 months I've been to the Polo Tournaments held near Adelaide and the recent Polocrosse tournament at Lobethal.

It's amazing to find out just how much ASH breeding there is in the polo & polocrosse horses. But disappointing to find how few are reg with the ASHS.

The Branch awards for best ASH in these sports is great and needs to be continued. One of John & Yvonne Freschi's horses won the best ASHS award at the Strath Polo Tournament, but sorry I didn't catch up with who won at the Polocrosse.

Many of the people taking part in these sports don't see any point in registration, but whenever you are talking to someone who has a horse(s) with ASH breeding let them know some of the advantages being a member with reg horses. They can also get into some of the Branch activities in the off season from whatever they do with their horses. A good chance to improve their horses training.
