Message:		Jill, if she is doing this because she is seeking to fulfill intangible needs, such as attention, sympathy, care, concern, or control of others, it would be Munchausen syndrome (or maybe just factitious disorder, the milder variant). From the brief history you've provided, it certainly sounds suggestive!
