Earlier this year I approached the The Southern Horse Owners and Exhibitors about adding a Fox Trot class to their shows. They already have several "breed" classes for Walker, ASB, Spotted Saddle, etc...
It was too late for them to consider changing their show bills for 2005, BUT if there is an interest, they willing to consider adding a fox trot class in 2006.
SO if you would like to see a Fox Trot class added - take your foxtrotter to some of the SHOE shows and enter in the open gait classes this year. It will be a great opportunity to promote fox trotters to some folks who might not be familiar with our breed, and since SHOE has monthly shows- it offers plenty of opportunity to get your horses ready for the Fox Trotter shows.
