Same old story against lower division sides. It's there cup final and sometimes we take it to lightly. Fair play to the Azad boys they did play some nice football at times and they all ran their socks off for 90 mins. Felt we were all over for most of the 2nd half but poor finishing and the linesman not knowing the rules meant the game was always in the balance and the Azad boys could easily have nicked it right at the end but a couple of missed chances and saves from Chaz meant we hung on.
Great penalties from the boys though and good to see the battling spirit see them through. It was one of them games where going through was all that mattered. Good luck for the rest of the season to the Azad boys play like that and i expect them to do the same as us and get a double promotion.
Leage won and Tony Harvey cup retained. 2 down 3 to go!!! Hopefully beat the Bretch on Sunday in the Reg Adkins final and dispose of Brackley again this week in the John Wood.
God knows how we'll get all of our games in if we keep going through in the cups |
