Hi,

I have a 7 month smooth collie who has been doing obedience since approx.10 weeks. He is in level three at the moment and has suddenly refused to drop.I have trained him using positive reinforcement [clicker training] I'm not sure how to tackle the problem - I'm going back to basics but should I give him a break-perhaps he's bored and needs time off? I haven't owned a smooth before and don't know how much to push?

Hi Carol,

Are you able to still lure him into the down with food?

Are you training obedience in the UK as I'm not familiar with 'level 3' and what is the required exercise?
