Happy New Year

Hi, everybody, just want to wish all Rough and Smooth owners all the best for 2008 whether you are actively competing with your collies or 'just' enjoying the pleasure of their company.(That's what we really have them for isn't it!)
Do you ever wonder what happens after the various queries are raised on this forum? It would be great to know how people have sorted things out but it's only occasionally that we hear the outcome whether it's good or bad. We all can learn from each other!

Re: Happy New Year

Hello there Joan, I have just read one of your messages to Jean and was very interested to read about your hairy smooth collie. I have a rescue dog who was handed in as being a rough collie cross(don't know what with). She is nearly 6 months old now and still looks like a rough collie but has the length of hair as in a border collie. I realise she still has time to grow more, she is gold sable with white chest but no collar. We also reside in Scotland and it would be great to see you and your dog at obedience shows. Last year I competed with my 10 year old tibetan spaniel male. That was his first and only year as he is not that interested, although he broke the mould as they are known, as a breed, for being disobedient! bye for now Hazel and Heidi

Re: Happy New Year

Hi,Hazel,I missed most of last years shows so don't have catalogues to trace you - a Tibetan Spaniel would really have stood out for me as a friend breeds them, and I would have come to speak to you if I'd been there.Do come to a local ob show if you can make it and we can talk collies! All the best with your new baby - enjoy her. Happy training,Joan.
