Message:		Robin, I thought in most states if the police are called to a domestic situation, if there is physical harm, the perpetrator is arrested per the police, not the victim. I thought this was put in place for the very reason the one being abused was too scared to press charges. Nonetheless, you start by knowing that you are worth having a good life and happiness. Ultimately, the only one that can give it to you is YOU. Do you own your home? In the 18 months this fool is in prison, you sell your house and any unecessary items you have incurred. Take your money and start over. I have done this.....I can honestly say that I have been "homeless". I left an abusive situation with a backpack of a few items of clothing for me and my then 18 month old daughter, a few toys and personal items in a duffel bag and was carrying her on my hip. I walked to a phone booth from the trailor I was living in and called anyone that would listen. It was February and freezing outside.....but I made it from there. I went to nursing school and am now married to my high school sweetheart and so very happy. You are at the prime of your life....you CAN do it. It's all about YOU now. Take the reigns baby and go....there is no stopping you now....GO!
