Message:		Dear Debbi, Go to that meeting. Do not pass Go before you hear what other participants have to say! If you don't feel the group is exactly what you need, start your own support group. Church bulletins are often a good place to spread the word. Don't have to be a member. Just call or write church secretaries or ministers and explain what you are doing. If there is a mental health facility within driving distance, make an appointment to see a counselor. Services are on a sliding scale. You had the courage to leave the man. You left for a very good reason. Keep reminding yourself how brave you have been. Sensible! You have more than enough strength, intelligence, and determination to remain independent. Someday a man worthy of your love will come along. Whether he does or doesn't, you will be fine. Do not need to be in a 'relationship' to confirm yourself! Certainly don't need someone to order you around. As for submitting to abuse, you know what it is like. Been, done, got the tee and the medical receipts. Right? Sorry this is short. I have an abscessed tooth and am not feeling my best. Sorry, too, for sounding bossy. Just want to be clear. Not often positive that I am right. . .but about this, y e s.
