Our Monday Evedning Chat/Film Viewing: "Eran Trece" ("There Were Thirteen")

Welcome aboard, everyone, as we continue on our 2012 Charlie Chan Tour! Our journey through the entire Charlie Chan film series now takes us to our next stop with “Eran Trece” (“There Were Thirteen”), the Spanish language version of “Charlie Chan Carries On.” “Eran Trece,” starring Manuel Arbo as Charlie Chan, provides us with a very accurate peek at what the “lost” film, “Charlie Chan Carries On,” which starred Warner Oland must have been like. The success of that film resulted in a series of 44 films which spanned nearly two decades, two film studios, and three actors in the title role! Now, as we watch Mr. Arbo’s portrayal of the great detective, we can imagine how the Oland version must have compared.

Our Chat Room is located HERE at our Charlie Chan Family Home. Please use any of the “Chat Room” links to join us. We begin with arrivals and greetings at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, as we roll our personal copies of our film exactly 30 minutes later.

Even if you cannot access a copy of the above-noted film, please do join us anyway, as you will NOT be left out of our ongoing chat and festivities. (Many of our films may be found available for viewing online through such outlets as You Tube, etc.) Also, as is our custom, newcomers are offered the seat of honor at our humble table.

"Thank you so much," and let’s meet for yet another fun Monday evening as we gather to watch “Eran Trece”…”There Were Thirteen”…

(PLEASE NOTE: If you would like to receive weekly email announcements regarding our Monday Evening Chats, as well as receive high-quality scanned movie still images (one per week) from our films of the week, please email us at: charliechanfamily@yahoo.com.)

Thank you so much…

Sincerely,
Rush Glick
