Re: David, Your car looked great!

Jim:

Thanks! Overall it was a pretty cool show. Dan came down from Canada with his modified GTI on his shakedown cruse.

Then, the organizers decided that since almost no one had ever seen one Puma, let alone two, that they asked us to participate in the grandstand pass and review that was only supposed to highlight 8 Karmann produced vehicles. Nice honor.

I am going to take a full set of photos here in a week or so and post them. If you ever get this way, let me know. The club I belong to, The Good Volks, does a number of Chicago and Indiana shows. It would be VERY cool to get photos with other Pumas.

Re: David, Your car looked great!

David, we are likely going to have 3 or 4 Puma's at VW show in Brantford Ontario on Sunday, hoping to generate some excitement there as well.

Re: David, Your car looked great!

I am waiting for a new master cylinder from Purring Pumas(they are out, so I have to wait for their next trip to Brazil), so my car runs fine, it just does not stop! Which Chicago shows does your club come to? The next one in the area is September 20th in Crystal LOake IL Quite a hike for you.
Best regards,
Jim

What year & model do you have? I am up in Bartlett GTE in the garage

Re: David, Your car looked great!

I have a 77 GTE (licensed as a 65)that was very badly treated. That makes three in the Chicago area I know of. Lance McDonald has one in Bloomingdale in wonderful condition stashed away with many of his other toys.

Nice Car!

Nice to see one FINALLY hit the mag.....I have a '77 GTE in SoCal....almost ready to hit the streets!
