Car is to be painted; all glass to come out first. Purring Pumas has the metal trim corners - will pulling the screen ruin those, meaning I should buy 'em, or will the ones on the car now be ok?

If you cut away the rubber gasket instead of trying to pry off the corner, you should be able to use it again.

before cutting grooved seals, which holds the trim,
make sure repacement trim is also grooved.
might be replacement comes without the groove.

just a thought.
