As I write this reply, I am sitting at the Charlie Chan booth at Murphy's Bar and Grill in Honolulu's Chinatown. From the window of the booth, I can see the old Honolulu Police Station Building and Chang Apana's detective office.
It's no problem that you confused the broadcast date for the film THE LETTER. It's Thursday, Oct. 13th. Everybody is entitled to slip once in a while.
Throughout history, many great men have become confused over little things like dates and such. For example, take Warner Oland. During the filming of the Chan films, Mr. Oland used to have a sip of "Tiger Juice" to help him with his lines.
Excuse me. (into the bar area): Hey bartender! Where my scotch and soda?
Ah yes, Steve. I know that booth at Murphys with the view of Chang Apana's police station very well! Look forward to the day when I can join you there once again to talk story and walk the streets and haunts of America's most famous detective.
