The Mystery of the Library Books in the C.C. Library!

Rush, upon entering the Charlie Chan Family Home, Library, I have often wondered upon the photo of the books sitting on the shelf in the introduction. I can see a set of the newer Chan novels by Academy Chicago Publishers, and some older Chan novels (I believe). Are these perhaps from the Rush Glick, Library? Are any first editions? Are any signed? This has always peaked my interest, so thought I'd ask. T.Y.S.M. Lou

Re: The Mystery of the Library Books in the C.C. Library!

Dear Lou,

Yes, you are correct! One of the books, at the far right of the image, is signed by author Yunte Huang. Another one of interest is a 1929 copy of "The Black Camel" which has a vintage woven pandanus dust cover. Another fun book is "Harvard Class of 1907 Twentieth Annual Report." I will yield to your knowledge of EDB to reveal the significance of that one!

Good eye, and a tip of the Panama to your superior skills of detection, sir!

Sincerely,
Rush
