A new book, "The Charlie Chan Films," by James L. Neibauer, is scheduled for release on May 1. What promises to be interesting difference from previous books about the Chan films will be the inclusion of a number of potentially unique insights which were gleaned from interviews of Mantan Moreland conducted by the author in the early 1970s.
It's always a pleasure to welcome the addition of another Charlie Chan-related book to our Chan library! Please keep an eye out for this one at Amazon, etc., as May 1 draws approaches!
Nice! I see from Amazon.com that Mr. Neibaur has written a multitude of books on other topics, like: Charlie Chaplin, W.C. Fields, Arbuckle & Keaton, Jerry Lewis, Bob Hope, Elvis. Should be good!
I agree, it would be exciting if he included the Chinese films. I actually have been trying to get some of my Chinese-American friends to see if they can locate some. However, so far no luck.
Another great addition to America's favorite detective! TXS Lou
