ALRIGHT! The C.C. Sunday Funnies are back...for 3.5 more years!

I LOVE reading these updated posts by Rush each Sunday: http://www.charliechan.info/id75.html.

Especially interesting is yesterday's current post: the first one by Alfred Andriola, October 30, 1938! It is reminiscent of "Charlie Chan Carries On (1930)." However, in this case the crimes are in England, China, Paris and Washington. (Hmmm, did Alfred purposely change Japan to China, and Hawaii to Washington?) Anyway, each counties best sleuths unable to solve their local crimes, now consider bringing in our Hero. All the while, and unsuspecting Charlie is lounging in his hammock in Paradise...Honolulu. It even brings in Charlie's old friend, Inspector Duff from Scotland Yard, in the first Frame.

Of note, Alfred Andriola starts of with the second most repeated aphorism from the novels, "Calm Man is Happy Man" in his Charlie CHAN Notebook (Intro frame.) That aphorism was repeated four times in the original novels, although reversed at times. It was first introduced in "Behind That Curtain (1928)," but repeated three more times in "Charlie Chan Carries On (1930)."

Here's my November 1st Blog--attributing Rush's laborious effort to post these for another 3.5 years. Thank you so much:

Re: ALRIGHT! The C.C. Sunday Funnies are back...for 3.5 more years!

Dear Lou,

Thank you for the great coverage of the start of our next three-and-a-half years' journey through the run of Charlie Chan Sunday newspaper comics! There will be a couple of uneven "bumps" as the Sundays were closely connected to the dailies early on, but this will even out.

Again, thank you so much...Please enjoy!

Sincerely,
Rush
