OUR CCF MONDAY EVENING CHAT AND FILM VIEWING FOR January 24 “The New Adventures of Charlie Chanâ€

FROM CHARLIE CHAN: “Rarely does one hear roar of lion come out of mouse's throat.” (“Something Old, Something New”)

GREETINGS! This week we mark the birthday of J. Carrol Naish, the TV Charlie Chan. Mr. Naish appeared prominently in “Charlie Chan at the Circus” with warner Oland in 1936. Twenty years he was, himself, in the lead role of Charlie Chan in the half-hour crime drama from 1957, “The New Adventures of Charlie Chan.”

KEEP IT FRIENDLY AND FUN! Charlie Chan Family is called Charlie Chan Family because we are, through our devotion to the famous detective who is our namesake, and perhaps even more importantly, as a result of our often years- (if not decades-) long online (and sometimes even personal) contact, we are just that: FAMILY. Each Monday evening we gather, as we have for more than two decades, to share a Charlie Chan movie, share the ups and downs of life, and, of course, have FUN! With this in mind, let's KEEP it FRIENDLY and FUN! We can, as any family does, have occasional disagreements, but, these can be discussed in a way that would make our esteemed namesake, Charlie Chan, most proud. And, with a sigh, I say..."Thank you so much!"
