Recently there has been discussion about using the Charlie Chan Family Chat Room as a gathering place for the Saturday night broadcasts of the Svengoolie horror/sci-fi movie presentations.

Here is the plan, as it is.

1-Rush is fine with the idea of using the Chan Family chat room for Svengoolie chat gatherings, but does not wish to host the forum. In fact, he may or may not join the gatherings.

2-The Svengoolie gatherings would correspond with the actual broadcast dates and start times of the Svengoolie airings on Saturday nights. No DVD discs and YouTube videos are involved. Just turn on your big-screen TV.

As an example, last Saturday, the Svengoolie program started at 7:00 PM Midwest Time Zone (or 8:00 PM Eastern Time Zone). The Chan chat room would open to the family prior to the start of each program and follow the broadcast presentation as it is aired.

This format is similar to the original concept of the Chan Family gatherings, some 20 years ago.

3-A Chat Host is needed to host the Svengoolie programs. The position is similar to Rush's role on Monday nights. We are looking for somebody who lives in the Eastern Time Zone or Midwest Time Zone. For the Svengoolie program, these two time zones are in sync with one another. Are you interested in the position?

4-Due to five-hour time zone difference, and my work schedule, I will not be able to join the Svengoolie Chat gatherings.
