I thought it was about time to go fishing for bloopers again.
For newbies, any and all are welcome. . . . Please step forward whoever pointed out to us that the ladies who went up to "dress for dinner" in Castle in the Desert and then they came down in the same clothes! Every pair of sharp eyes count!
For those of us not quite so newbie . . . any new ones?
Not sure if it's Broadway or not. It's a scene toward the end of the film where Charlie and Company are at some drinking hall or whatever down on the waterfront. He confronts an individual in the back part of the saloon and in one scene his hat jumps back on his head then reappears back on top. It's the film with Col. Watkins in it. Shanghai I think! It was a movie we watched just last month.
One minor thing that has always bothered me, and I'm not even sure that it qualifys as a bona fide blooper, also comes from "CASTLE IN THE DESERT." The Mojave Wells hotel manager tells Charlie Chan something to the effect that "You can fry an egg on that highway..." There is then a shot of a dirt road leading out into the desert. I don't know if an egg could ever fry on a non-paved road. Maybe it was just another piece of exaggeration on the manager's part, after all, he later tried to get Jimmy Chan to pay $2.00 for a room advertised outside the front of the hotel for 50 cents!
Rush,
People here have tried most every variation on the theme to prove how hot it gets here in Texas but I don't remember anybody trying it on asphalt. . . .
Where is Jimmy Chan when we need him?!
