Tonight's Chat/Film Viewing: "Charlie Chan on Broadway" (8 PM, EST)

This evening's Monday Night Chat/Film Viewing picture is "CHARLIE CHAN ON BROADWAY," starring Warner Oland. As usual, we begin our evening together with arrivals and greetings beginning at 8:00 PM, EASTERN TIME. Thirty minutes later, we begin rolling our personal copies (VHS or DVD) of "Broadway," thus allowing us to view this movie together simultaneously as we discuss the on-screen happenings. (If you do not happen to have a copy of this week's film available, please join with us anyway, as our talk definitely wanders from the screen to the gathering, and you WILL be included!)

Our Chat Room is located RIGHT HERE at our Charlie Chan Family Home. Please use any of the "Chat Room" links to enter and join in on the fun...and newcomers are always our guests of honor!

Have a great Monday, those in the snowstorm areas of our country, keep warm, and we will hopefully see you this evening!

Sincerely,
Rush Glick

How is it that you can watch any of Charlie Chan's movies over and over and never tire of them? I am new to this forum but so enjoy Charlie Chan! His over Broadway film was great. It's so nice to see how people of that era enjoyed themselves on a night on the town. I'm from Addison, Illinois and we received about 14 inches of snow. A good weekend for Charlie Chan...

Re: Re: "Charlie Chan on Broadway"

Greetings and Welcome to the Family! How can we watch them over and over? We're devoted fans! You can't see good movies like this today (in my opinion). Too much sex, violence, and filthy language for my taste. That's why I've gone back into the past to see movies made that people actually cared about making in telling a story and not simply throwing a script together and drowning it in explosions and pointless state-of-the-art special effects.

Charlie Chan is just one of those fun characters I enjoy watching solve a mystery. You will not find its equal today!

Dear Audrey,

WELCOME!

For me, it is like seeing a good friend "over and over." How can one tire of such good company? Also, each time I watch one of these wonderful movies, I notice some detail that I have thus far overlooked.

I hope that you will have a nice, warm, Chan-filled weekend, and that you will feel an equally warm invitation to join us some Monday evening for one of our Chat/Film Viewings.

Sincerely,
Rush Glick
