I just received word that Virginia Johnson's mother is in the hospital, having suffered a stroke. Anyone who has had the pleasure and honor of knowing this fine lady (who happens to be a life-long Charlie Chan fan) knows that she is, as Sgt. Kelly put it in "Charlie Chan at the Opera," a "firecracker." If anyone can achieve a full recovery, it is Virginia's venerable mother. Let's all keep her in our deepest thoughts and prayers.
