Yesterday, Easter Sunday, Virginia Johnson's venerable mother, Becky Truesdale, passed away following a sudden illness. Becky, who sometimes frequented our Monday evening chats, became something of a mother to us all, and was known as "Mrs. Chan," due to her long-time devotion to Charlie Chan. I can personally relate how kind Becky was to me, my wife Marie, and our new little daughter Sarah, treating us all as family, and showing us such warmth and kindness. Becky is and will be missed so much by so many people.
There is a wonderful obituary to this amazing lady at:
Although I didn't know Becky, I do know her daughter Virginia through e-mails. And she is a very kind and considerate individual. I'd say she was well taught by her mother.
