Our movie for this evening's Chat and Film Viewing will be a favorite among many, "The Black Camel." This was the second film in the Charlie Chan series proper, and it is the oldest surviving movie from "same." In this picture, we can see how Warner Oland as well as Fox studios was still developing the character. Also, this is the ONLY film of the series to have actually been shot ON LOCATION in and around Honolulu, and this was not too easy a feat in 1931 considering the primative sound equipment of the time!
As usual, we gather, beginning at 8:00PM, Eastern Time, in our Chat Room with arrivals and greetings. Then, 30 minutes later, we begin rolling our personal copies of "The Black Camel" in synchronized fashion, thus allowing us to see this picture together!
