Re: Chan TV show

Dear Jamison,

Personally, judging from the few TV shows that I have viewed, I would say that "The New Adventure of Charlie Chan" would rate in production quality, acting, etc. as below that which we find in the Monogram Charlie Chan movies...even the least of "same." However, I think that they are wirth seeing, although the Chan we see is certainly not the Charlie that we all know and love.

About six months ago, I had the honor of meeting James Hong, who played Charlie Chan's Number One Son on the TV series. Even though his film accomplishments are many and varied, he has fond memories of having taken part in "New Adventures of Charlie Chan."

Sincerely,
Rush Glick

Re: Re: Re: Re: Chan TV show

I'm actually about half way through putting together a complete DVD set of the TV series (I finally managed to get hold of the last few episodes that I was missing). Should be available on my website in a week or so for about $40 shipped.

The show was my first introduction to Charlie Chan, I used to watch it on TV when I was about 8 or 9, so it's nice to be able to see them all again.

Kind Regards, Andy.

That sounds like a winner. I will await the DVD set.
