I just watched this film earler today - the last one produced by 20th Century Fox - and I must say that it is one of the better Toler flicks. Very atmospheric and it had me on the edge of my seat til the last.
what a great film to see for the first time ... Have you seen CC At Treasure Island or CC At The Wax Museum ... two that are considered the best by many , including myself.
Yes, I have - and both "Treasure Island" and "Wax Museum" also rank high on my list of Toler films, along with "Dead Men Tell". I am just now getting into the Monogram series - and understand that these films offer less in terms of production value. I saw "CC in the Secret Service", and can certainly appreciate the difference in style and acting from the Fox series. The character of Birmingham Brown in particular is an unnecessary distraction, and Benson Fong's Tommy Chan is no match for Keye Luke or Sen Yung.
