I just watched "The Scarlet Clue" recently, and thought it was a pretty decent film. The scene with the studio manager falling through the trap door in the elevator was especially chilling. It's always enjoyable also when the killer turns out to be someone you didn't suspect.
I was interested in the Ben Carter character. His "dialogue" with Birmingham Brown I think I've seen film before, but can't pinpoint where. Given how natural it seemed these two were at it, I am assuming that they've performed this act in some other venue.
More "incomplete talk" between Ben Carter and Mantan Moreland can be seen - and heard - in "Cark Alibi." Also, another gracious serving is offered in "Docks of New Orleans" between Moreland (Birmingham Brown) and Haywood Jones (as Mobile Jones).
Thank you so much, Rush! I haven't watched either of these 2 films yet, but will look for Birmingham and partner for some more "incomplete talk" banter.
