OUR MONDAY EVENING CHAT/VIEWING: "Charlie Chan in Egypt" (8PM, EDT)
Happy Monday, everyone. I hope that everyone had a great Easter, or, that you are in the midst of a very meaningful Passover, or both!
Please join us tonight as our Chat/Film Viewing will feature “Charlie Chan in Egypt” starring Warner Oland. In this film, a favorite of many, Charlie Chan travels from Paris (following his adventure chronicled in “Charlie Chan in Paris”) to Luxor, Egypt, to find the reason why items promised to a French Archeological Society are being sold on the black market. In the process, he is called upon to use his great skills to help solve mysterious murders that have occurred under very eerie circumstances. Could an ancient Egyptian curse be at work?
We begin, as usual, at 8:00 p.m., EASTERN time with arrivals and greetings. Then, thirty minutes later, we begin running our personal copies of this very fine film, which allows us to watch it together as our evening’s discussion progresses.
