Does any footage of Warner Oland in "Chalie Chan At The Ringside" exist?

I have heard that "Mr. Moto's Gamble" originally started as "Charlie Chan At The Ringside". From what I had heard, They started filming it and Warner Oland took ill and later passed away. I am curious if anyone knows if any of the footage of "Charlie Chan At The Ringside" is still around? It would make an interesting extra on either the next Chan DVD Collection or the next Moto DVD Collection?

Re: Does any footage of Warner Oland in "Chalie Chan At The Ringside" exist?

Dear Sam,

Yours is a very good question. Of course, as much footage as possible which was already shot before Mr. Oland walked off the set was salvaged for use in what became "Mr. Moto's Gamble." It it very tantalizing to think that, somewhere, there exist outtakes and scenes with Warner Oland as Charlie Chan. This is ossible, as outtakes from "Charlie Chan's Greatest Case" are around today - at least a few very brief ones - which can be seen in a mid-1980s video collection of movie and TV bloopers called "Bloopermania." Such material from Oland's final, though unfinished appearance as Chan would be a valuable find, indeed!

Sincerely,
Rush

I haven't heard this. Why did he walk out?
