Please join us for our Monday Evening Chat and Film Viewing which will feature “The Chinese Cat,” starring Sidney Toler. In this film, Charlie Chan and Number Two Son, Jimmy and assistant Birmingham Brown work to solve the murder of a wealthy socialite. How do a chess piece and a “Chinese Cat” offer valuable clues for Charlie Chan?

We begin, as usual, at 8:00 p.m., EASTERN time with arrivals and greetings. Then, thirty minutes later, we begin running our personal copies of this very fine film, which allows us to watch it together as our evening’s discussion progresses.

Sorry we cut out. We were trying to find the volume buttons having upped every electronic volume slide in "Volume Control." There were indeed two physical volume buttons but they straddled the wireless toggle button, which I, of course pressed, disconnecting. An hour and a half later with help from AT&T this wireless laptop was back on line, but we unfortunately missed the camaraderie and mystery of tonight's chat (as well as the humor of #3 son and Birmingham). See you all next week!

Actually, we cover a wide range of topics that includes(but isn't limited to) the movie of the night.

That's why we encourage everybody to come on in regardless of whether you have that week's movie.

And don't forget that our Halloween party is coming up on October 30th when we'll be watching Wax Museum.

So plan on coming as your favorite Chan movie character!

First....WELCOME!

Yes, you are correct on all counts! We watch the films together amd discuss what is happening on screen. We also speak on Charlie Chan in general, as well as other more general things that come up during our viewing of the movie. Please imagine a group of friends watching a picture together around a large bowl of popcorn with ample beverages in evidence. As would be expected, there is talk of what we are watching as well as other things that might be of interest or in good-natured fun!
