Re: Chinese Chan Films

Paul,
We'd consider ourselves lucky to find the early Oland/Chan movies that FOX made that have been lost for years!
And that's not even mentioning the two silent versions!
I do suspect that we'd be interested if the lost Chinese Chans did appear, especially if somebody could put English subtitles on them.

Re: Chinese Chan Films

Dear Paul,

There is but very sketchy information available on the presumable two shinese produced Charlie Chan films. The titles are believed to have been "Charlie Chan in the Homeland," and "Charlie Chan at the Radio Station." Both were made by the Hsin Hwa Motion Picture Company (Shanghai, China), and starred Hsu Hsin-Yuan as Charlie Chan. At present, the status of these movies is unknown.

Sincerely,
Rush Glick
