Our Monday evening Chat/Viewing: "Charlie Chan in the Secret Srvice"
Please join us for our Monday Evening Chat and Film Viewing featuring “Charlie Chan in the Secret Service,” starring Sidney Toler. This movie was the first Charlie Chan film made at Monogram Pictures. It pits the detective, now working for the U.S. Secret Service, against a cagey and deadly international super-spy, in a case that takes place in the home of a murdered scientist.
We begin, as usual, at 8:00 p.m., EASTERN time with arrivals and greetings. Then, thirty minutes later, we begin running our personal copies of this very fine film, which allows us to watch it together as our evening’s discussion progresses.
