I recently bought a copy of the 1939 movie THINK FAST, MR. MOTO featuring Peter Lorre in what has come to be known as his signature role: Kentaro Moto, here portrayed as the head of an import-export firm who is trying to track down a gang of diamond smugglers.
I assume you bought this as part of the Moto Vol 1 set. These are very enjoyable films (more so now that I can finally get rid of my sub par VHS copies which were marginally viewable at best.
Because both Chan and Moto were produced by Fox one sees much cross over in supporting casts, directorial style, etc. The Chan series has more heart but the Moto series presents a very interesting and unique lead character which is engrossing in his own way.
