At exactly 8:05 PM (EST) last night I prepared to click onto the CC chatroom and talk with all my good friends. I heard a huge "bang" outside and realized immediately it was thunder/lightning. I looked out my window and saw the fastest moving, darkest clouds I think I've ever seen here in Florida. A huge storm came barreling in and I had to immediately shut my computer down. I'm glad I did, because no more had it turned off and we lost power for a moment. Probably would have done nasty things to my computer had it been on.
Long story short - sorry for missing last night's chat. Hope to be there next week.

I understand about the damage that lightning can do to electronics. Recently, I was at dinner with some friends who told me what happened to their TV during a thunderstorm. I am a believer!
