Chan books

I'm interested in getting a good book on the Chan films. Recommendations? Whats out there?

Re: Chan books

Dear Chris,

There are some good ones available:

"A Guide to Charlie Chan Films," by Charles P. Mitchell

"Charlie Chan at the Movies: History, Filmography, and Criticism," by Ken Hanke

"The Charlie Chan Film Encyclopedia," by Howard M. Berlin

I think that all three of these books are invaluable in gaining knowledge about the Charlie Chan film series, and each one offers a unique approach and perspective.

Sincerely,
Rush Glick

Re: Re: Chan books

Thank you for the recommendations. I've been a big fan of the Chan movies for a long time. I was glad to see the boxed sets come out and have been purchasing them right along. I just bought vol.3 and plan on watching it on my vacation. Do you know if they plan on releasing the Toler movies in the same way? Thanks again. Also, this is one of the best fan websites I've visited. Tons of information and very well put together.
