Our Monday Evening Chat/Film Viewing: "Charlie Chan at Monte Carlo"
Our Monday Evening Chat and Film Viewing movie will be “Charlie Chan at Monte Carlo,” starring Warner Oland in his final appearance as Charlie Chan, as we conclude our month-long celebration of the release of volume three of "The Charlie Chan Collection". On their way to Paris for an art exhibition, Charlie Chan and Number One Son, Lee, thinking that they are stopping briefly in Monte Carlo, find their stay lengthened by a deadly series of events.
We begin, as usual, at 8:00 p.m., EASTERN time with arrivals and greetings and a trip to Virginia’s virtual beverage cart. Then, thirty minutes later, we begin running our personal copies of this very worthy film, which allows us to watch it together as our evening’s discussion progresses.
