Was not there talk a while back about prints of the lost Chan films maybe being in China? Has anything more happened on this? Or, was the talk just that and it turned out to be a dead end?
Douglas Wulf (please see the numerous posts fairly far down the present collection) has done a good deal of research via the Internet regarding this subject, as well as the realm of Chan films that were actually filmed in China by Chinese film companies featuring all-Chinese casts. Although he has not turned up any clues relating to "lost" films from the Chan series proper in the land of Mr. Chan's ancestors, he has found a good number of "unauthorized" Chinese-made Charlie Chan movies.
