I have a nice copy of Sidney Toler's marriage license when he and Vera Tattersall Orkow tied the knot November 9, 1943 in Ventura CA. They were 54 and 31 respectively.
In 1943 Toler was 69 years old not 54. It is very interesting he would lie about his age like that. My guess is that he was trying to minimize the huge age gap between himself and his bride.
I'd be curious as to what attracted this young lady to a man much her senior.
