Our Monday Evening Chat/Film Viewing: "City in Darkness"
Hopefully, most of us have received the fifth and final volume of the “Charlie Chan Collection” either by mail or from your favorite local seller!
Please join us for our Monday Evening Chat and Film Viewing as we gather together to watch and discuss “City in Darkness,” starring Sidney Toler. As we continue our tour through the entire Charlie Chan series, we will be viewing an unusual film in the series. In this adventure, Charlie Chan works without Number Two Son Jimmy, as he is caught up in the intrigue of impending war. Amid blackouts and threats of aerial gas attacks, Charlie Chan works to solve a murder that can have international implications.
We begin, as usual, at 8:00 p.m., Eastern Time with arrivals and greetings and a trip to Virginia’s virtual beverage cart. Then, thirty minutes later, we begin running our personal copies of this very worthy film, which allows us to watch it together as our evening’s discussion progresses.
