Please plan on joining us for our Monday Evening Chat and Film Viewing as we gather to watch and discuss “Charlie Chan in Rio,” starring Sidney Toler. With this movie, we resume our tour through the entire Charlie Chan series, as Charlie Chan and Number Two Son, Jimmy, search for the identity of the one who killed a suspected murderer.

We begin, as usual, at 8:00 p.m., Eastern Time with arrivals and greetings and a trip to Virginia’s virtual beverage cart. Then, thirty minutes later, we begin running our personal copies of this very worthy film, which allows us to watch it together as our evening’s discussion progresses.

Well shoot - got home from work early & dashed right into the chat room to see if I could catch anyone who may be indulging in an after hours discussion of "Rio", as it's one of my favorite Toler's.

Mary Beth Hughes also plays one heck of a drunk.

Anyhow, the way my hours have been cut back of late, I may soon be able to make a Monday night chat on time - lousy for wallet, good for soul, I guess.
