Hi Everyone,

I beg your pardon for taking time on this message board. We're heading to San Francisco in April. I'm looking for film recommendations that would get me in the "Frisco" mood. You can start with Charlie Chan films that might show some of the city's sites.

So far I have:
- The Maltese Falcon
- Hammett
- The Black Bird
- Vertigo

What else would you recommend that would give me some references when as I tour the city. I'm hoping to pick up Don Herron's "The Dashiell Hammett Tour: Thirtieth Anniversary Edition" when it comes out next month.

We'll be staying at the Marine Memorial Hotel which is wonderfully located downtown, walking distance to the Convention Center and Chinatown. It's a bit far to get to Japantown. So I take the bus to check out their japanese puzzle boxes, origami supplies, and norens. This year I'm also shopping for Acupuncture supplies and might stop by the Acupuncture school out there to see how they do things out there.

I'm thinking "Time After Time" about HG Wells in San Francisco is another one I should watch again.
