How do they do that?

Dear Rush/Virginia/All: I've notice that some have Charlie Chan audio clips posted on their sites. How do they do that? I would love to gather these and other clips. Perhaps from the J. Carroll Nash or Roland Winters films and salt them onto cd mixes I make. But how does one do that. Is there special software available that gives you this ability? Enquiring minds want to know!

Re: How do they do that?

Russell,
I tried googling Charlie Chan Audio Clips and I got a link to http://odeo.com/episodes/22094347-Charlie-Chan-Curious-Ride-Of-The-Sea-Witch-1950, an 1950 episode of a Charlie Chan radio play.

Have you tried to do a search at www.youtube.com?!

Do you know how to burn cds if you do get the kinds of links you find?

Have you checked my webpage of Charlie Chan Annex at http://tommenterprises.tripod.com/id18.html? I have varius clips that are directly Chan related and some that are more background material.

Does this help?

Virginia

Re: Re: How do they do that?

Dear Virginia: Yes, I know audio clips are avaible to be "gotten". But how do they get them? For example, I once record, with a tape recorder, the first part of an "Annie" track from the soundtrack album, but stopped after the fellow says "Quiet, little girl". You cant just stop recording at any point with a cd, but people seem to be doing it with these Charlie Chan, The Shadow, Dr. Who and others. But how? Imagine making a cd with a clip of Charlie Chan chastising one of his "Sitting Assistants" between Elvis sing Heartbreak Hotel and Michael Buble's version of "Spider-Man". Wouldn't that be something. But how do you make those clip?
