Tonight's Monday Evening Chat/Film Viewing: "Charlie Chan in London"
This evening, our Monday Evening Chat/Film Viewing takes us, along with Charlie Chan, to the city of London, and then to an English manor house where the great detective, his fame now spreading far beyond Honolulu, works feverishly to clear a man wrongly condemned for murder. As we move along on our current journey through the entire Charlie Chan series, “Charlie Chan in London” marks a change in the series as Mr. Chan becomes something of a citizen of the world. This will also be the first of several overseas stops for Mr. Chan, as he will make his way through Paris, Egypt, and Shanghai.
We begin, as usual, at 8:00 p.m., Eastern Time with arrivals and greetings and a trip to Virginia’s virtual beverage cart. Then, thirty minutes later, we begin running our personal copies of this very worthy film, which allows us to watch it together as our evening’s discussion progresses.
